DRIED BLOOD SPOTS
A simple-to-use kit containing lancet, blood card, sample-handling instructions, test request form and pre-paid envelope. Dried blood spots can be used for the detection of antibodies to and/or antigens from:
- Hepatitis C (Ab)
- Hepatitis B (HBsAg)
- HIV (Ab)
Dried blood spots can also be used for HCV Qualitative PCR (nucleic acid test).

Note: A positive antibody result does not always indicate a current infection. Antibodies to any infection remain in the blood even after the infection has cleared. A follow-up test (e.g. PCR) is required to confirm a current infection. Delphic recommends that any positive/reactive test result is repeated using a plasma sample from an EDTA tube.
Assays for testing dried blood spots and oral fluid are indicative only and are not CE-IVD marked for exclusive diagnostic use unless otherwise indicated.
